How to play Rock Guitar
Under the direction of Frank Kearns, the FK Rockschool has been pioneering a unique and effective method of teaching guitar. By putting into action the Rockschool philosophy of “meeting each student at their map of the world”, students experience much greater and rapid progression than more traditional approaches. We have a 98% retention rate among our students simply because the results are fast and tangible. Our teachers love what they do and it shows in our students.
All students receive a reliable personalised one-to-one tuition and lessons take place in SALT Recording Studio. Once enrolled, students qualify for the free Jam day which takes place on a weekend day every second month in SALT studio
How it works : On joining us, students are asked to bring a list of their favourite songs to their first lesson. The Tutors, trained by Frank Kearns and using the Frank Kearns system of teaching, will develop a learning programme based on each student’s individual interests. Students will naturally expand and develop through exploring their own musical preferences. Quite quickly, students take their playing to a new level.
Guitar lessons take place during weekdays – our first lessons normally start at 3.30pm with the last lessons taking place at 8.30pm. Wednesday is an exception when our first lessons start at 2pm.
All classes are half hour duration and may be recorded by students to facilitate practice at home.
